Space remains available in the Junior Birder program for youngsters at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge on Oct. 13.
The class will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.
It will consist of hands-on learning activities about birds and will cover the use of binoculars and field guides, tips for identification and bird conservation.
The course is aimed at fourth- through sixth-grade students.
Program materials are provided free of charge by the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society.
