Ordinance hasn’t flown coop, yet



The Seymour City Council made no decision Monday on a topic that has ruffled some residents’ feathers.

Councilman Dave Earley apologized for not getting information to city attorney Rodney Farrow early enough to draft an ordinance on the issue of residents keeping chickens — and other livestock — as pets.

A proposed ordinance will be introduced at the next council meeting, set for 7 p.m. May 27 at City Hall.
