Indiana suspended online ISTEP+ testing late Tuesday morning because of continuing interruptions for students in Grades 3 through 8 taking the test.
Local educators agreed with the decision of Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz to suspend testing — administered by CTB McGraw-Hill through a four-year $95 million contract.
Testing should resume this morning, the education department said at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Schools are being asked to reduce the number of students taking the test at the same time by 50 percent.
