Outsider? Insider? There’s still room

I’m an insider. Practically every Sunday of my life (except the time I was in the Navy), I went to church. I’m comfortable inside a church. It is natural for me to sit among church people. Even when I go to a church in a different place, I feel at home. Everyone I meet in church I consider my friend, even if we’re strangers.

To other insiders, I say — isn’t it great to be inside?

To outsiders, I say — We have room for you, come on in. Make plans to go to church tomorrow. Don’t be afraid to take the first step. Don’t let the appearance of church building hinder. Come on in.
