More than an inch of much-needed rain fell in Seymour on Wednesday, leaving behind several flooded streets and prompting residents and city officials to question the effectiveness of its recently upgraded stormwater drainage system.
Mayor Craig Luedeman said Wednesday there were a few problem areas he knew of, including at Broadway and Fourth streets and on Stadium Drive.
He planned to have sewer workers look into why they aren’t draining any faster. He added the Stadium Drive area is targeted for study and improvements.
