Three matches. Three goals.

That describes Seymour High School senior Andrew Bailiff’s weekend playing in the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association Soccer Showcase at North Central High School for the second year in a row. The annual event features the top 18 players from each of the six districts around the state, and college coaches also are present to check out the state’s best players.

On Saturday, Bailiff scored District 5’s first goal in a 2-1 win against District 1, and he scored late in a 4-1 win against District 3. On Sunday, Bailiff’s goal early in the second half gave his team a 3-1 lead. The District 6 squad managed to even the score before District 5 made the winning goal in the final minutes of play.
