First, the Jets were grounded. Then, the Hornets were swatted, and the Cubs were mauled.
Defeating Hauser 25-14, 25-11, Henryville 25-12, 25-10 and Madison 25-15, 25-18 put the Seymour volleyball team into Saturday’s championship game of the Bethany Burrier Invitational at Borden.
That’s when the Owls plucked the Blackhawks, defeating Springs Valley 25-11, 25-8 to start the season at 4-0.
Blocking and serving were the keys to Seymour’s success.
