The Seymour boys basketball team traveled Tuesday to Scottsburg, but the Owls came away with their eighth-straight loss, 64-43.
Despite the outcome of the game, Owls coach Scott Miller said his players never gave up.
“They have not given up all year,” Miller said. “We are very proud of them for that, and that would be easy to do. Our problem against Jeffersonville and New Albany, our turnovers were forced. Tonight, we were in the high 20s, and 90 percent of them were unforced.
“We had a chance where we cut it to six in the early stages of the second quarter, and we followed that up with two charges, forced two turnovers and had a little momentum going at halftime. But we had two takeaways and two giveaways and created the gap, and we couldn’t recover.”
