Owls finish strong for Hoosier Hills victory



NEW ALBANY

Seymour built a 27-21 lead at halftime of Thursday’s Hoosier Hills Conference girls basketball game at New Albany.

The host Bulldogs pulled within 35-33 going into the fourth quarter, but Seymour scored 28 points in the fourth quarter and won 63-55.

In the final eight minutes, the Owls were a solid 15 of 18 from the free-throw line.

Morgan Ritz led the Owls (11-6) with 16 points on four 3-pointers and 4 of 4 from the foul line, while Emilee Pollmann had 14 points, and Maci Lubker scored 11.
