Owls’ leader to pass on baseball wisdom

In his first year as the head baseball coach at Seymour High School in 2012, Jeremy Richey was nominated for the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association Coach of the Year honor.

After recently wrapping up his third year at the helm, Richey is preparing to serve as an assistant coach of the South team in the IHSBCA North-South All-Star Series at Richmond’s Don McBride Stadium.

“That’s something you do probably once in your career, and to get it this early in my career, it’s exciting,” Richey said. “It’s a neat honor that’s happened early in my career, and I’m just very fortunate that I have good people around me that have kind of helped me out and allowed this opportunity to come.”
