Baseball players can help their team in various ways.

For Seymour High School senior Frank Munoz, it’s his speed.

Offensively, Munoz has been hitting ninth in the order, and he said his role is to perform like a second leadoff batter.

“I try to do anything I can do to get on base because then I can use my speed to my advantage on the bases,” he said. “If it’s a bunt-and-run, a straight steal or hit-and-run, I can use all that to my advantage because I have the speed to do it.”

Defensively, Munoz has been an outfielder throughout high school.
