After dropping its first two matches of the year, the Seymour boys tennis team bounced back in a big way at home on Thursday night with a 5-0 shutout win against Jennings County.
The Owls (1-2) won all five matches in straight sets.
“We played well,” Owls coach Brad Emerson said. “Jennings is a young team, and we were in that same spot last year. They’ve got a lot of good athletes, and they got a lot of balls back in play. I think we kept our cool in each match. We finished out points, but one thing we do need to work on is closing and putting the shots away and not give the opponents a second chance.”
