Jeffersonville scored two goals in each half to defeat Seymour 4-1 on Tuesday night in a Hoosier Hills Conference boys soccer match at C.B. Hess Memorial Field.
Seymour coach Matt Dennis said he thought the match was much closer and more competitive than the final score shows.
“We gave up four goals, and not one of them was a clean goal,” he said. “We were unlucky on a couple bounces. A call didn’t go our way. They get a rebound on a penalty kick. There is nothing in that match where I can say Jeffersonville completely outplayed us. I think the 4-1 score line is not indicative of the way the game was played.”
