The Seymour boys golf team shot its best score of the season in Saturday’s Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament on its home course, Shadowood.
But the Owls’ 353 put them in seventh place out of eight teams in a competitive field.
Despite posting a season-low score, Owls coach Tim Freshour still sees room for improvement.
“The good thing was we shot our low score of the year, so we’re heading in the right direction,” Freshour said. “However, to be competitive with the best teams in the state, which is where we want to be, and to be competitive with teams in our sectional, we’ve got to be better still.
