Pacers' Vogel proves he's right man for job

INDIANAPOLIS

The running joke among the Vogels is that it’s virtually impossible to ruffle the feathers of any of the men in the family.

This means Frank, the family patriarch; oldest son, Justin, 41; and his brother, Frank, 39. There are times this trait, be it perceived positively or negatively, both irritates and amuses the women in their lives.

“It’s in my DNA,” said the younger of the two Franks, flashing the boyish smile that has so endeared him to Indiana Pacers players and fans in his 25-month stint as the franchise’s 14th head coach. “My father is that way. My brother is that way. Our wives always laugh at us that nothing gets under our skin.”
