Pair charged with manufacturing meth

A strong chemical smell coming from the window of an open apartment in North Vernon on Saturday led to the arrest of two Jennings County men, police said.

Brandon K. Horton, 18, and Brayton M.S. Eder, 18, both of North Vernon, face Class A felony charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, according to a news release from North Vernon Police Department. A Class A felony is punishable by six to 20 years in prison.

The two men also face charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia. Other charges could follow, police report.
