Panel OKs variance for mobile home couple

Jackson County Board of Zoning Appeal approved a request from a Crothersville couple to vary from setback requirements during a meeting Tuesday at the courthouse annex.

Ervin and Linda Oakes, 11273 E. State Road 250, Crothersville, were asking for the variance to allow for the replacement of a mobile home on its original footers.

County ordinance calls for 90-foot setbacks, but the setbacks for the footers at 11147 E. State Road 250, Crothersville, vary from 37 to 42 feet, according to the Oakes’ application.
