A review panel of five people will investigate a police shooting that left a Brownstown man and the officer who shot him injured.
The review board will include officers with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, a firearms instructor from another police agency and the county prosecutor.
Sheriff Michael Carothers said Friday he was unsure when the panel will meet to review the incident in which Officer Rick Meyer was shot twice, once in each shoulder. Meyer returned fire and wounded Isiah T. Roger, 18, of Brownstown. Roger was shot in the left arm, police said.
