A police officer injured when his car crashed west of Seymour remained hospitalized Sunday.

Mark Holt, 46, of Seymour, was reported in fair condition, said a spokeswoman at University Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Holt, a road patrol officer with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department for two years, was fortunate to have escaped without more serious injuries, police said.
