Petition drive yields more signatures opposed to Brownstown renovations

The race to obtain the most signatures for or against three Brownstown Central Community School Corp. renovation projects totaling $24.8 million ended with their defeat.

That news means just one thing to Superintendent Roger Bane — it’s time to head back to the chalkboard.

“We’re going to have to make those improvements,” Bane said Friday afternoon of projects defeated through a remonstrance process. “And now we’re going to have to figure how we’re going to do that.”
