An 18-year-old man landed in jail following a break-in at an unoccupied home in Freetown early Sunday, police said.

Dakota K. Snyder of 6367 U.S. 31 North, Seymour, faces charges of burglary, resisting law enforcement and possession of stolen property after the incident, reported at 2:36 a.m. Sunday at the home on West Second Street.

Snyder’s arrest came after Jackson County Officer Jesse Hutchinson responded to a report of someone with a light moving around in the house, according to a report from Sheriff Michael Carothers.
