Police use stun gun on fleeing 19-year-old man



A 19-year-old man fleeing from police Friday morning was stopped by an officer using a stun gun.

Joshua Cobb of Seymour was arrested by Seymour Officer Matthew Carver and faces charges of resisting law enforcement in a vehicle, resisting law enforcement on foot, reckless driving and operating while never licensed.

A news release from police said the events leading to Cobb’s arrest began at 1:55 a.m. when Carver tried to pull a vehicle over for traffic violations in the 1600 block of East Tipton Street.
