All basketball coaches want to see their team playing its best heading into the state tournament.

In Monday night’s home game against Christian Academy, Medora girls coach Greg Barnett saw improvement in several areas.

When Tori Pfeiffer hit a 5-foot jump shot with 5:30 remaining, it pulled the Hornets to within 40-34.
