Portion of road honors judge

The more than 10-mile stretch of U.S. 50 between Brownstown and Seymour soon will bear the name of a man who spent 28 years on the Jackson Circuit Court bench.

The road will take the name Robert R. Brown Memorial Highway to recognize former Jackson Circuit Judge Robert R. Brown.

During the recently completed legislative session, state Sen. Brent A. Steele, R-Bedford, introduced a resolution recognizing Brown for his work as judge and on other projects.
