Poynter receives humanitarian award

Robert C. Poynter, owner of Bob Poynter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Hyundai in Columbus and Bob Poynter Ford in Seymour, received the Arc of Indiana’s 2012 Employment Award at the agency’s annual state conference in Indianapolis.

Established by parents of children with disabilities, the Arc of Indiana gives this award to individuals or businesses that employ people with intellectual or developmental handicaps. Recipients also strive to increase opportunities for these individuals in the workplace.

Poynter reflected on the impact that employee James Boyd has had on business and fellow employees.
