Prayer focus of mayoral event

In the 1960s, the Seymour Jaycees organization put on a prayer breakfast inviting people in the community to come together on Good Friday.

The mayor at the time always attended and led the group in prayer.

As the Jaycees began to dwindle in membership and involvement, the event stopped.
