The city continues to move quickly on a project to relocate the Department of Public Works facility from its current location on East Fourth Street to a new 26-acre site in Freeman Field.
Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety gave an official thumbs up Thursday to the plans, specifications and drainage report for the project as presented by Phillip Wink of RQAW Engineering as well as the construction contract with Dunlap Inc.
One change was made, as recommended by acting city engineer Jim Wayman, to replat two of the lots located near the National Guard Armory into one.
