Prosecutor urging life incarceration for Seymour native convicted of fraud


The attorney for a Seymour native convicted of swindling investors out of about $200 million will ask for a five-year sentence for his client, markedly different from the recommended maximum sentence of 225 years.

A federal prosecutor said Tim Durham of Indianapolis deserves a life sentence.

Durham is due to be sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Indianapolis. He was convicted in June of securities fraud, conspiracy and 10 counts of wire fraud.
