Public can aid walking trail; Donations would enhance mile-long route

BROWNSTOWN

Jackson County commissioners have accepted a Brownstown woman’s help with landscaping for a walking trail built on county-owned property this summer.

“This would be an ongoing project,” Mar­gie Strange told commissioners during their meeting Tuesday at the courthouse annex.

Strange, who is with Schn­eider Nu­r­s­ery Inc. between Brownstown and Seymour, said she would put together a master plan to be used whenever someone donates trees for the trail, which begins at the County Park in Brownstown.

The trail is nearly a mile and runs east to County Road 25E and south to the fairgrounds.
