Public can send text warnings to schools

Students, parents and staff of two Seymour schools can now send a text message to alert officials of potentially dangerous situations.

Administrators at Seymour Middle School and Seymour High School say a new text tip line is another tool of communication to keep students and staff safe.

“The text tip line is a way for our students and patrons to inform our student resource officer and administrative staff of events or situations that could pose a risk to everyone’s safety,” middle school Principal Doug McClure said.
