Public preschool possible at Seymour

Seymour Community Schools might open its first public preschool in the fall.

School officials are set to discuss tonight a proposal to use a $100,000 grant from the Jackson County Education Coalition to operate a preschool program at Seymour-Redding Elementary School during the 2014-15 school year.

If approved, the program would last 28 weeks and serve up to 60 children.
