Purdue recognizes fall academic achievement



More than two dozen local students were among about 14,800 Purdue University students who earned academic honors for the fall 2012 semester, according to a news release.

To earn honors, students must have had at least a 3.5 semester or cumulative grade-point average on a four-point scale. The following students from Jackson County earned a spot on the honors list:

Brownstown: Trey DeHart and Nathan Killey

Crothersville: Erica Doyle and Ethan Nieman

Freetown: Wendy Martin

Seymour: Mackenzie Allman, Christopher Kidwell, Evan Tangman, Tabitha Caceres, Christina Skaggs, Derek Mullins, Shayna Abel, Katlynn Schneider, Makinsie Belcher, Jonathan Troville, Michael Monroe, Grant Alstatt, Akash Patel, Christopher Cissell, Ryan Eads, Jason Poole, Grant Hubbard, Andrew Heideman, Moriah Hendrix, Joseph Rust, Tyler Pottschmidt and Emma Franke
