Rainfall stops, but flooding still source of problems

Rain continued falling Friday, and the East Fork White River continued rising.

Floodwater from the river crossed State Road 258 between Seymour and Cortland Friday morning and continued flowing over county roads all along the river bottoms.

The river was anticipated to crest at 18.5 feet Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.
