State transportation officials have announced ramp and lane closures that began at 6 a.m. today and continue through 1 p.m. Friday on Interstate 65 between Seymour and Scottsburg.
The closures, part of an ongoing pavement and bridge rehabilitation project, are:
Southbound I-65 right lane at mile marker 50.5
U.S. 50 West loop ramp to southbound I-65
Southbound I-65 loop ramp to East U.S. 50
Southbound I-65 ramp to westbound U.S. 50 (closed 7 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday)
Eastbound U.S. 50 ramp to southbound I-65 (closed 7 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday)
Southbound I-65 left lane at mile marker 38.0 (closed 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday)
Southbound I-65 right lane at mile marker 38.0 (closed 10 p.m. Tuesday to 1 p.m. Friday)
U.S. 31 ramp to southbound I-65 at the Crothersville exit (Exit 36)
Northbound I-65 right lane at mile marker 40.0
John R. Jurgensen Company, the Indiana Department of Transportation’s prime contractor for this$54.7 million district pavement project, is repairing and resurfacing 21 miles of pavement on I-65 between State Road 56 in Scott County and U.S. 50 in Jackson County. Crews are on site
24 hours a day. A 45 mph speed limit is being enforced where workers are present.
