Reckless homicide sentence delayed postponed

The sentencing hearing for a local woman who pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in connection with the June 1 death of a Freetown woman has been delayed.

Brianne Elizabeth Maynard, 18, of Seymour, had been scheduled to appear in front of Judge Richard W. Poynter at 3 p.m. Thursday in Jackson Circuit Court.

That hearing, however, was rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 29 at the request of Maynard’s attorney, Brad Johnson of Seymour.
