Last year’s deadly tornado outbreak is a reminder of the potential of severe weather in Indiana, especially in early spring.
To help people stay prepared for storms, the National Weather Service sponsors National Weather Preparedness Week, which begins Monday.
The March 2, 2012, tornado outbreak that killed 13 people across southern Indiana reminded Hoosiers of the unpredictability of the weather, and the weather service reminds Hoosiers of the importance of early warnings and severe weather plans in schools, businesses and homes.
