Rockford bridge project to begin

A project to replace the bridge over the East Fork White River at Rockford — delayed by spring flooding — will begin Tuesday.

Motorists who use the bridge will have to find other routes to get to and from areas in northern Hamilton and Redding townships to Seymour.

County highway superintendent Warren Martin told commissioners Tuesday that the Clarksville-based contractor replacing the bridge will have 180 days to make the bridge ready for traffic.
