Seymour played on the state finals course, The Legends of Indiana Golf Club, on Saturday and finished with 363 in a field consisting of five top-20 teams.
Dustin Ruddick led the way with a solid round of 7-over 79. Brady Marshall (92), Gray Nelson (95) and Ethan Ashley (97) all broke 100. It was Ashley’s first varsity tournament.
“I challenged the kids to examine their round and see individually how they can improve,” Owls coach Tim Freshour said. “There are so many factors that we can’t control, but there are many that we can control. You may not be able to control a bad break, the weather or course conditions; however, you can control your decision-making and course management.”
