Running club competes in national meet

SAN ANTONIO, Texas

The South Central Indiana Running Club competed in the United States Track and Field National Junior Olympic Cross-Country Championships on Saturday at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas.

The club was represented by eight girls who are members of the Seymour Middle School cross-country team.

The finishers were Ashton Chase (99th, 15:56), Emma Brock (120th, 16:09), Abby Voss (179th, 16:28), Brett Kleber (180th, 16:29), Oriana Morales (294th, 17:40), Aubrie Bowman (316th, 18:03), Mara Luedeman (347th, 18:48) and Zoie Cooley (361st, 19:34).

The girls age 13-14 division consisted of 377 runners and 33 teams, and SCIRC placed 20th with 524 points.
