The Seymour Christian Academy volleyball team won two tournaments in January, and it is hoping to capture its third Saturday on its home court.

On Jan. 19, the Panthers played in the Frankfort Winter Classic. They defeated Westfield Christian and Bedford Christian in three sets to advance to the semifinals of the winners’ bracket. SCA faced a top team from Indianapolis, Calvary Christian, which won last year’s tournament, but the Panthers prevailed in three sets, sending Calvary Christian to the losers’ bracket.

Both teams wound up meeting in the final game of the tournament, with Seymour coming out victorious.
