The May gallery exhibit at Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will feature Michele Pollock and her latest art project, “What It Means to Be Human.”
“The gallery presentation is a visual and poetic exploration of what all of this means to me, as an individual, and collectively to us, as human beings,” Pollock said.
When complete, the project will consist of 23 pairs of art and text (one for each human chromosome pair). The human genome project means unprecedented insight into the similarities and differences between humans and other animals.
