SMS athletes need to turn in forms

Seymour Middle School student-athletes must have a completed physical form turned in to the school office before practicing or may bring it to practice on the first day.

Any physical dated April 1, 2012, or after will be accepted for the 2012-13 year.

Boys and girls cross country will begin practice on Monday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at SMS. Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders are eligible to run.

Seventh- and eighth-grade football practice starts on Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at SMS. Any seventh- or eighth-grader attending a Seymour-area middle school and not participating on another area football team is eligible to play.

Tryouts for cheerleading and seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball will be on Aug. 13 after school at SMS.

Boys seventh- and eighth-grade tennis will provide information at school for the start of the fall season.

Fifth- and sixth-grade football will have league information available in the office at school. Any fifth- or sixth-grader attending a Seymour-area school is eligible to participate.

Sixth-grade volleyball will have league information available in the office at school.
