Seymour Mayor Craig Luedeman said he most likely won’t join a group of Hoosier mayors opposing a plan to put Indiana’s ban on same-sex marriage into the state constitution.
Regardless of his position on same-sex relationships, Luedeman said he doesn’t think it’s an issue legislators need to address at this time. Instead, lawmakers need to focus their attention on pressing issues that affect all Hoosiers.
“We need to concentrate on the economy, creating jobs, cost of insurance, everything that is delaying business and progress in our communities, instead of dealing with a social issue such as same-sex marriage,” he said.
