Application forms for scholarships administered by Community Foundation of Jackson County are now available on the foundation’s website, www.cfjackson
A direct link to scholarship forms for all five Jackson County high schools maybe accessed at cfjacksoncounty.org/scholarshipforms.php.
Completed applications are due no later than Dec. 6, 2012.
Sue Smith, vice president for the foundation, said, “The application
deadline comes before Christmas break, so now is the time to begin completing the application materials and writing the required essay.”
The foundation uses a single application for all scholarships, including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship program.
Students are urged to download the application forms and begin as soon as possible.
Good applications require thought and preparation, Smith said.
Community Foundation of Jackson County administers 44 different scholarships. They range from a few hundred dollars to full tuition and fees, but all are primarily focused on students from Jackson County.
