Seymour Community Schools Corp. plans to hire an architect to design additional classroom space for Emerson Elementary School.
The district’s board of trustees will hear recommendations from interim superintendent Robert Hooker to hire Kovert Hawkins Architects of Jeffersonville to provide those services during a regular monthly meeting tonight.
That meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the administration building. It is open to the public.
“The board has held interviews with several architects, and after researching three different firms, I am ready to recommend Kovert Hawkins be engaged to provide services to design four new, additional classrooms to Emerson,” Hooker said.
