Another opportunity to feed hungry local families will be available soon.
Seymour High School is partnering with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana to create a school-based food pantry starting this fall.
Principal Greg Prange said students enrolled in the school’s Jobs for America’s Graduates program will oversee the effort.
“Most of you are familiar with Gleaners and the services they provide for families in Indiana. But one thing that they also provide that I was unaware of is school-based pantries,” Prange told the school board Tuesday.
“They have asked us to be a pilot program in Jackson County.”
