The Seymour Middle School girls cross-country team recently finished the regular season with a 50-0 record, including winning five invitationals.

The team also competed in the Indiana Middle School Cross Country Championship in Carmel and brought home the fifth-place trophy and had two runners place in the top 25 and earn all-state honors.

The top seven on the 1.8- and 2-mile school record boards includes members of the team, and coach Jennifer Hildreth said part of the success is credited to the legacy left by runners who now compete for Seymour High School.
