Senators too much for Tigers on home court

After beating West Washington at home on Jan. 8, the Crothersville boys basketball team had a chance to sweep the season series from the Senators in Tuesday night’s West Washington Sectional game.

As it turned out, home court made a difference as the Senators bounced back for a 67-49 win to advance to Friday’s semifinals against Orleans.

“I think by far, this is the most disappointing loss this season,” Tigers coach Greg Kilgore said. “Not necessarily the fact that we beat them earlier and thought we should beat them tonight, but we knew the revenge factor was on their side. We talked about this game last week instead of preparing for Austin.”
