Frontier Communications reported an outage Saturday morning that affected service areas in several of its southern Indiana markets.

All service was restored Saturday afternoon, Roscoe E. Spencer Jr. of Frontier said.

Seymour and North Vernon were included in the outage areas, Frontier said in a news release. Other areas were Corydon, Milan, Terre Haute and Wolf Run.

Services interrupted included high-speed Internet/broadband and voice customers.

Service was interrupted because of winds that damaged an aerial fiber line 7 miles east of Butlerville in Holton that spans U.S. 50, Frontier said.

A series of severe thunderstorms rolled through the area late Friday night.

The line had to be removed from the current position, repaired and then repositioned for services to be restored.
