Ten members and four guests attended the August meeting of Seymour City Home Extension Club.
The annual picnic was at the home of President Nancy Hammond. Judy Prince served as co-hostess.
Guests were Lauren Neuenschwander, county extension educator; Sandra Hall, county treasurer; Maggie Risser, the club’s Jackson County fair queen candidate; and Monique Phegley.
Hammond reported she, Marion Slade, Lorraine Gallentine, Doris Keyser and Mary Ellen Snyder helped with the birthday party on July 25 at Lutheran Community Home. Volunteers provided angel food cakes and cupcakes for residents.
Risser discussed her experiences as a fair queen candidate and her educational plans.
Door prizes were won by Lorraine Gallentine, Doris Keyser, Marion Slade and Debbie Risser.
